Palazzo Pitti is right at your doorstep, and Ponte Vecchio is a 5-minute walk away. The Boboli gardens are located just behind Palazzo Pitti, so your morning idyllic walk will be complete easily! And of course, the breathtaking Duomo Di Firenze is also pretty close β only a 10-minute walk <3
They Have All Amenities You Need
One of the things I loved about Palazzo Belfiore was the attention to detail β they had coffee and tea (trust me, these smelled heavenly!) in the kitchen area, as well as a complimentary bottle of water and wine. And, well, they also had welcome cookies, and if that doesnβt win you over, I donβt know what will! π Our lovely room actually had two bathrooms, which is perfect for 3-4 people staying.
The View
I hope itβs not just me, but Iβm an absolute sucker for tiny Italian streets! And Palazzo Belfiore is not only at the heart of Florence, but at the heart of these tiny gorgeous streets. Once you open up the drapes in the morning and see that view, youβll feel like youβre in the Renaissance <3

Federico, the host, is extremely nice and will do everything he can to make your stay pleasurable. Due to lack of availability, we stayed at both Palazzo Belfiore and Palazzo San Niccolo, and Federico moved our suitcases for us! Iβve never had such a great host, and youβll see yourself that the guestbook is full of grateful and happy people! Palazzo San Niccolo
Palazzo San Niccolo is a very lovely residence on the same side of the Arno river as Palazzo Belfiore. However, itβs just a tiny bit further β about a 10-minute walk from Ponte Vecchio. The neighborhood, however, is very calm, and here are a few other reasons why Palazzo San Niccolo would suit you better as your Florence accommodation:
The Garden
If you know me, youβll know I am absolutely in love with hotel gardens! <3 And I definitely think the garden is what youβll also love the most about Palazzo San Niccolo. The center of Florence is pretty packed with buildings, landmarks and hotels, so itβs pretty rare to find an actual garden within the hotel premises (unless youβre willing to pay over 1000 EUR per night). The garden of Palazzo San Niccolo is perfect for you to have your morning Italian coffee in the summer or to have a relaxed afternoon with a book.
The Lounge
Unlike Palazzo Belfiore, Palazzo San Niccolo has a pretty big lounge. You can always find coffee, tea and different small snacks there! Especially during the winter, the lounge is a great option for you β one of its corners is so luminant, that you can cuddle up with a cup of tea on a chilly winter afternoon.
The most impressive thing for me in the lounge, however, was the tiny library! You just need to climb up, grab a book, and you can even enjoy the view from over there. I didnβt see it get too crowded, which was one of the best things about this little corner full of magic.
Events
One of the best things about Palazzo San Niccolo is that there is always something going on! Just ask Federico and he can help you plan a group event or even a writerβs retreat (which I am so sad to have missed by a few days when I was there!). There is a very lovely conference room that can double as a ballroom for you to transform a day event into an evening one. This Florence hotel has multiple rooms, so donβt worry, your group will fit easily!
