Varna is so full of romantic views. Here is a guide to Varna’s most fantastic panoramic views and where to find them!
Table of Contents
1. Observation Deck Galata

The view on the way to Varna’s neighborhood is very beloved by us, the locals. It’s pretty high up and you’ll love it both during a sunset and at night. You’ll find a few benches and even binoculars – just make sure you have 1 Bulgarian lev in order to use it. If you’re visiting this panoramic Varna view with a loved one, you can bring a customized padlock and lock it on the fence, just like the locals do!
2. Aksakovo Panorama View
Where to find Varna’s panoramic view: https://goo.gl/maps/pBhUCiLU8ZU2
You don’t need to visit the restaurant “Aksakovska Panorama” in order to see the lovely view. There is a spot very close to it, on the other side of the road, right in front of the Meteorological Radar. Please note that it is not recommended staying there for extended periods of time, since there are small amounts of radiation. But you can definitely pop by for a quick shot and enjoy it!
3. Asparuhov Bridge
Where to find Varna’s panoramic view spot 1: https://goo.gl/maps/oMtZTikKRsj
There are two spots that I particularly like when it comes to the Asparuhov bridge. The first spot is great for long exposures, if you like them! It’s located on a dirt road, so make sure you park somewhere around it, rather than right at the spot. It’s very dark during the night and it’s right in front of a few houses, so it’s not great to linger for a few hours 🙂

If you’d like to spend a bit more time, the second spot which is below the bridge is great! You can watch the sunset and enjoy the night lights, then take a walk around the park of Asparuhovo.
Long exposures with car lights here are also possible, so bring your tripod to the nearby pedestrian overpass! I really enjoyed shooting there, here is a shot where an ambulance passed by:
4. The Park-Monument of the Bulgarian-Soviet Friendship
Where to find Varna’s panoramic view: https://goo.gl/maps/SCFWLSEmEgR2
This is my favorite monument in Varna, namely because of the lovely view <3 If you’re looking for a way to go up by car, click on the above link, rather than looking it up on Google Maps, as the Maps location will take you in front of the stairs below. But hey, even so, it’s a great workout to climb all these stairs! But if you’re in a hurry to catch the sunset – go up by car (just mark the little street right behind it) 🙂
5. TV Tower
Where to find Varna’s panoramic view: https://goo.gl/maps/JWogdqJV1aw
Varna’s TV tower view is also spectacular! Again, Google Maps’s location marked as “Television Tower” might not be your best bet – when you make a left turn from the main road, go straight ahead and park in front of the entrance. Then walk to the left and after a few dozen meters you’ll see a little hill to your right. Climb up and you’re in for a treat! The sunsets during the summer are quite spectacular. Actually, it’s the same view as from the Park-Monument mentioned above, but from quite far up.

6. Varna Lighthouse
Where to find Varna’s panoramic view: https://goo.gl/maps/FNk4UmiztXJ2
Varna’s lighthouse is one of the top things to see in Varna! It also has a lovely view of the city, especially if you visit at night. The closest parking is right next to the roundabout before the lighthouse, but you don’t need to go all the way to the lighthouse itself to enjoy the view. There are a few staircases that can take you up on the wall, where you can enjoy this romantic view.
7. Sunset at Kazashko village
Where to find Varna’s panoramic view: https://goo.gl/maps/e5AdmcFxdip
Kazashko village is one of the cutest villages close to Varna! But my favorite thing about it is how pretty the sunsets always are <3 In Varna you can’t really enjoy sunsets over the water, but Kazashko village is right at the Varna lake and the reflections are truly spectacular! There are a few different small bridges in the village, each one different and unique, so you can explore and pick different viewpoints.
Bonus – a few restaurants with panoramic views:
Even though there are a few restaurants with lovely views, here are some ideas where you can combine watching the sunset and having a delicious meal:
Blue Sky Restaurant
Where to find this panoramic restaurant in Varna: https://goo.gl/maps/16y2V4YwkhT2
Opening hours: 8AM – 11PM
This restaurant is in a very high office building, where I used to work! They have a very cheap lunch menu, but the night view of the city is also spectacular.
Club Stars Panorama
Where to find this panoramic restaurant in Varna: https://goo.gl/maps/CCXDqByVDfF2
Opening hours: 1PM – 4AM
Well, this is not a restaurant, but a great bar! There is usually live music every evening and also a small entrance fee after 10PM. However, it’s worth getting a cocktail there, the bar is right at the top of the famous Cherno More hotel at the hart of Varna.
Restaurant Capriz
Where to find this panoramic restaurant in Varna: https://goo.gl/maps/9CTN7wzNts22
Opening hours: 09:30АМ – 12AM
Restaurant Capriz is located in Shopping Center Yavor. It’s not very close to the city center and it’s not a huge shopping center, but the place has great panoramic views of Varna!
Aksakovska Panorama Restaurant
Where to find this panoramic restaurant in Varna: https://goo.gl/maps/LUtha1jZTFy
Opening hours: 11AM-12AM
If you’ve enjoyed the nearby view close to the Meteorological Radar, you can definitely stop by the restaurant! The food is absolutely delicious and I try to go at least once a year. They have typical Bulgarian dishes and very often, the owner comes by and talks to you 🙂 He has been all around the world and has brought many items into the restaurant, each one holding its own fascinating story. The restaurant is not very large in terms of seating on the balcony, so it’s a good idea to try and make a reservation ahead of time.
